The Center for Advanced Pediatrics is Going Electronic!!!
Please be advised, patient visits will take longer during this
process BUT the benefits that come will be well worth the wait!
In our ongoing mission to offer the most advanced pediatric
care and medical technology, The Center for Advanced
Pediatrics is thrilled to announce our transition to
Electronic Health Records over the next 6 months. This
innovative program will mean exciting changes for our patients
and their families. In addition to
improving the quality of health care and improving the process
of checking in and overall flow through the office, this
transition will also grant our patients the ability to view
their own medical records from home. Through the online
patient portal, you will soon be able to view and print your
child’s immunization record and growth chart, request and
print patient forms and handouts, update your demographics and
message non-urgent matters directly to your physicians and
practitioners! As with all big changes, there will be a
transition period as our office and staff becomes accustomed
to the new system, so we ask for your patience as we
work hard to better provide quality and state of the art
medicine to our families.
Instead of implementing this system on a particular date we
have chosen to slowly transition as to keep the practice
functioning without too much disruption. We have chosen early
fall as this seems to be after the rush of school physicals
and before the winter illnesses set in. We appreciate your
patience and cooperation as we move forward with our
initiative to serve you and your family better.

Frequently
Asked Questions:
What is EHR?
Electronic Health Record (EHR) is a computerized version of your medical
chart. Going electronic will improve security, the ease of medical information
sharing between professionals and enhance the quality of care The Center for
Advanced Pediatrics is
able to provide
for your children.
Why do we need to collect your Insurance Card?
In the event that your insurance information was entered incorrectly and it
comes up as inactive, having a copy of the card allows us to double check our
work and re-submit the claims without ever having to contact you or sending
incorrect billing statements.
Why do we need your Credit Card on file?
By having your credit card on file you are one step closer to having a speedy
check-in process. Your card will never be charged without your
authorization. Further information regarding having your CC on file can be
found in our Credit Card Policy
information sheet which can be found on our website at
www.tcfap.com.
What benefits will the patients have?
Having Electronic Health Records will eventually decrease the
overall amount of time you and your child spend in our office. You will soon
have the option to pay a yearly patient
portal fee which will
allow access to your childrens’ medical records from home.
This fee will include
all forms (which can be requested online),
visit information,
all night nurse phone calls,
your childrens’ immunization forms, prescription information and direct access
to your Pediatrician
and other Practitioners who care for your children via the portal messaging
system!
Why do we need your Email on file?
Your e-mail address will be the way you access your patient portal and thus
have access to your childrens’ medical records. The patient
portal is the best way for you to communicate with your Pediatrician, nurses,
administration staff and billing department as well as the ideal way for our
practice to tell you of upcoming events.
Having the correct e-mail on file will ensure an easy
transition when the portals are in use.
