Using a car seat correctly
makes a big difference.
Even the seat appropriate for
your child's size may not properly
protect your child unless it is
used correctly. While the directions
may help with installing the
seat, there are many factors involved in securing your child's
car seat properly. Motor vehicle accidents are
the most common injury in
children and a car seat, if installed properly,
can give the best protection
during an unexpected crash.
We at
TCFAP want to help you keep your child safe while driving in
your car. Francis Heybeck, one of our Urgi-Kids staff and
emergency
medical technician (EMT) has just completed the
National Child Passenger Safety Program and is now a certified
technician.
Francis will be offering car seat inspections to our patients
on
Tuesday's beginning June 21st between 1pm and 3pm,
at our
Norwalk office.
Each car seat inspected takes 30 minutes
(15 minutes for additional
seats) with a charge of $50 per car seat. Booster seats take
about 15 minutes and are $30 per seat.
